The bird meows in memory of that nice cat they kept chained to a pole at the back of the house. I'd heard about the bird, and the cat ("pedigree, very expensive"), but by the time I get there the cat is gone and no-one really seems to want to talk about it. Luckily though the mynah bird has a copy of the cat's meow, so I record that instead. Also in the bird's repertoire is: "Assalamualaikum", "Mas Devah", and some sort of cockerel impersonation. What it seems to do most however is meow.
